Strict Two-Phase Locking:
Similar to plain Two-Phase Locking, the locks are acquired and released in two phases in Strict Two-Phase locking protocol.
- After acquiring the locks in the first phase, the execution of the transaction takes place normally.
- However, unlike Two-Phase Locking, Strict Two-Phase locking protocol does not release the lock after the execution.
- Strict Two-Phase locking keep holds of the lock until the commit point and at the same time, it releases all the locks.
