Introduction: The nervous system is classified into two types, the central nervous system, and the peripheral nervous system. The central nervous system influences all the activities of the body. The central nervous system includes the spinal cord and the brain. Both the brain and the spinal cord is covered by a protective envelope called meninges (singular-meninx). Meninges includes three membranous envelopes namely, pia mater, dura mater, and arachnoid mater.
