Answer to Problem 1QAP

False

Explanation of Solution

The galaxies which are present in the universe are not isolated and they interact gravitationally with other galaxies in the universe. The galaxies present in the universe are formed by the gravitational interaction of stars and black holes.

The stars present in the universe interact and form small galaxies. These small galaxies interact with other galaxies and form larger ones. As observed by the astronomers the galaxies are formed after the big bang.

If the galaxies does not interact with each other and the other galaxies the larger galaxies present in the universe will not be formed. So, the galaxies present in the universe interact gravitationally with other galaxies.

Conclusion:

The galaxies present in the universe interact with other galaxies and are not isolated. Thus, the given statement is false.
