Interpretation: The sketch of the stereoisomers of the octahedral complex ion
Concept introduction: Stereoisomerism comprises of geometrical and optical isomers. The optical isomer only exist if symmetry is absent in compounds, whereas, the geometrical isomerism relies upon the attachment of different ligand. The cis isomer is formed from adjacent attachment of same kind of ligand around the center metal, while Tran’s isomer consists of same ligand in opposite directions.
