Conjunctiva is the thin membranous tissue which covers the eye, except cornea part of an eye. This layer also present in the eyelids. Conjunctiva layer functions as the secretion of oil, and mucus containing fluid which lubricates the eye surface. This layer also acts as a protective layer and prevents the eye infection.
