Chapter 16.1, Problem 6LO
Summary Introduction

To classify: The types of sensory receptors based upon each of the three criteria.

Concept introduction: The sensory receptors are the nerves that are stimulated by a physical stimulus and which create a nerve impulse to send information to the brain. Sensory receptors may be simple such as touch receptors or complex-like sensory organs. Sensory receptor functions by responding to a particular stimulus and transmitting the information to the brain and the central nervous system (CNS).

One of the ways for a cell to generate ATP is through the oxidative phosphorylation. In oxidative phosphorylation 3 ATP are produced from every one NADH molecule. In respiration, every glucose molecule produces 10 NADH molecules. If a cell is growing on 5 glucose molecules, how much ATP can be produced using oxidative phosphorylation/aerobic respiration?
