The transportation of water from the roots to the different parts of the plant is done because of this cuticle layer majorly present in terrestrial plants. The terrestrial plants are more exposed to the sunlight which may increase the transpiration process in plants.

This transpiration process is controlled by the cuticle that prevents the loss of water during high temperature. The cuticle is a layer of protection on pollen grains and seeds. This layer prevents the decaying of seeds and pollen grains even in extreme temperatures.
