The two ways in which energy can be wasted. The benefits of reducing this waste.
Answer to Problem 1CR
The two ways in which energy can be wasted includes driving cars with engines that waste 80% of the money they spend on gasoline and by living in leaky houses and buildings. Reducing this waste will help to reduce this loss of heat and money.
Explanation of Solution
Driving cars with engines that waste 80% of the money spend on gasoline results in the wasting of energy. On average, only the 20% of the money spend on gasoline is used to reach somewhere. In addition, energy is wasted also by living in leaky buildings and houses.
This loss of heat and money can be reduced by spending a small amount of money for insulating the walls and roof and caulking leaks around the windows and doors.
