Chapter 15, Problem 45P
Summary Introduction
To determine:
How cardiac output and blood pressure are related?
Introduction:
The volume of blood that is discharged out from the ventricles of the heart in one minute is known as the cardiac output. The normal cardiac output of an adult is around 4.75 to 5 liters blood per minute. Blood pressure is the pressure on the walls of blood vessels exerted by the blood. The normal blood pressure for an adult is around 120 mm Hg over 80 mm Hg. 120 represents the systolic pressure and 80 represent the diastolic pressure of the blood.
