Explanation of Solution

DC motor is a device that is used to convert direct current electrical energy into mechanical energy. These motors have internal electromagnetic or electronic mechanisms in order to change the direction of the current flow. DC motors are used in cars, aircrafts and used in other industrial aspects.

The DC motor operates on the principle of attraction and repulsion which states that when a current carrying conductor is placed in a magnetic field, the conductor experiences a magnetic force. This magnetic force is directly proportional to the amount of current flowing through the conductor.
