Interpretation:

The expansion of ${\text{ZrO}}_{\text{2}}$ in comparison to diamond needs to be explained. Whether one can distinguish between these materials or not should be determined.

Concept introduction:

Cubic Zirconia is the crystalline arrangement of zirconium dioxide ( ${\text{ZrO}}_{\text{2}}$ ). The manufactured material is rigid and typically colorless. Itcan be made in a variety of different colors. It must not be confused with zircon. Zirconium silicate is sometimes erroneously named cubic zirconium.Diamond is the compact form of the element carbon with its atom arranged in a crystal structure called diamond cubic.
