Summary Introduction
Introduction:
George lifted a heavy box and in this process herniated one of his lumbar intervertebral discs. This disc pinched off nerve roots and caused an ailment. The disease of slipped intervertebral discs (herniated disc) is caused by the degradation of tissues between the discs and movement of cerebrospinal fluid towards the outside with pain and swelling in the spinal cord.
