Case summary: Company D provides different types of pizzas in different parts of the world that whole family can enjoy. To remain in one of the top position, Company D keeps their focus on market trend, customer likes and likes in their menu and customer suggestions and reviews. Company D wanted to add salad in its menu. It knew that is going to be a challenge. The question was whether to develop a whole new value chain or not and whether to hire another firm or do it itself. It also have the problem of menu, means which salad to serve.
