The term “hemostasis” involves the method of the stoppage of the flow of the blood after an injury to the blood vessels. It involves the accumulation of the platelets at the site of the injury. The blood clotting factors get accumulated near the region of the damaged vessels and form plug by blocking the flow of the blood leading to the process of coagulation.
