There are two type of generator. These types are as enlisted below.
- 1. DC generator
- 2. AC generator
The generator which produces DC voltage at the output is called DC generator. The generator which produces AC voltage at the output is called an AC generator.
These generators differ from one another on the basis of the output and the construction of the generator. DC generator has the commutator which converts the AC voltage to DC voltage.
