- It is an activity-based simulation and the time is split into small time parts, and then the changes are marked in each part.
- Discrete event models are represented by using entities, attributes, and events.
- Entities are used to represent the objects in the system.
- Attributes are used to represent the features of the system in the object.
- Events are used to represent the interaction between the objects in the system.
- Continuous simulation:
- It refers to a model in which the changes of the system will be continuous and the response over time is defined using a set of differential equations.
- The characteristics or features of the system will be represented mathematically.
