Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation:

Contour length and root-mean-square separation of the ends of a polymer chain modelled has to be calculated.

Concept introduction:

The contour length (R_c) can be calculated by using following formula,

$\begin{array}{l}{\text{R}}_{\text{c}}\text{=}\text{N×l}\\ \text{N}\text{= Monomers in the chain}\\ \text{l}\text{= length of Monomer}\end{array}$

The root-mean-square separation (R_rms) can be calculated by using following formula,

$\begin{array}{l}{R}_{rms}\text{=}\sqrt{\text{N}}\text{×l}\\ \text{N}\text{= Monomers in the chain}\\ \text{l}\text{= length of Monomer}\end{array}$
