Slider control:

• A “Slider” is a control that permits the user to graphically adjust a number within a range of values.
• It shows an image of a slider knob that can be dragged along a track.
  • It can be oriented horizontally or vertically.
• “Slider” control is created with the help of “Slider” class.
  • It is available in the “javafx.scene.control” package.
• The range of “Slider” control is represented by a numeric value.
  • The minimum range’s value is present at the one end of “Slider”.
  • The maximum range’s value is present at the other end of “Slider”.
• “Slider” controls contains a numeric value, and as the user moves the knob along the track, the numeric value is adjusted correspondingly.

Slider method for establish the spacing of minor tick marks:

• Creating the spacing of minor tick marks to place between the major tick marks using the method called “setMinorTickCount()”.
  • This method takes a data type of “int” argument.
  • In this method, the default value is “25”.

• Displaying tick mark in Slider using the method called “setShowTickMarks(true)”.
  • This method takes a “boolean” argument.

  • In “Slider” control, no tick marks are displayed by default.
