It either develops or restores muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, neuromuscular coordination, cardiovascular efficiency, or other health and performance factors.
Explanation of Solution
The therapeutic exercise that helps the healthy people in reaching the level of activity that is desired or needed to function is known as a habilitative therapeutic exercise. When the therapeutic exercise helps the ill or injured individuals in returning to their prior level of function, it is known as a rehabilitative, therapeutic exercise. It is a programmed physical activity, aimed at improving or restoring the quality of life.
Hence, therapeutic exercise promotes a healthy lifestyle by either helping in acquiring the normal function or restoring the old function.
