Interpretation:

The high-temperature contribution to the heat capacity and the entropy of a freely rotating CH3 group at 25°C has to be calculated.

Concept introduction:

The intrinsic physical property of a substance that is required to measure the quantity of heat energy needed to change the temperature of the substance by a given quantity is known as heat capacity.  Standard entropy of reaction predicts the feasibility of the reaction.  For a reaction to be feasible, the change in the standard entropy of the reaction must be positive.
