Summary Introduction
The two egg or oval shaped organs in the reproductive system of the male is known as testes and it is also called as testicles. The testis produces male reproductive cells (sperm) and male hormones (testosterone). The production of sperm is controlled by both gonadal testosterone and anterior pituitary follicle stimulating hormone. The release of testosterone is controlled by anterior pituitary luteinizing hormone. Testosterone controls the reproductive organ development and other characteristic of the male. For example, wide shoulders, facial hair, and low voice.
