Business Processes IS Applications
In order to accomplish a business function, a network of activities such a preparing quotations, checking customer credit, roles, repositories, resources and data flows are required to interact and this process is called Business Process. In order to drive the activities in the business process, Information Systems (IS) are used. The hardware, software and data components contained in the information Systems are called applications.
Business Processes are developed with BPM and Scrum. IS are developed with SDLC and Scrum. Applications are developed with SDLC and Scrum.

  • Business Analytics
  • Content Management
  • Collaboration tools

Components of Information Systems:

  • Computer hardware
  • Computer Software
  • Telecommunications
  • Databases and data warehouse

Components of Application:

  • Hardware
  • Software
  • Data components

Relationship between Business Process and IS:

The relationship between Business Process and IS can be termed as many-to-many, or N: M.

  • A Business process need not relate to any IS but IS relates to at least one Business Process.
