Case summary:
Person S and his wife are an old couple of about 70 years of age. Person S used to drive even at this age but his children were concerned about his safety.
Person S's wife is a type 1 diabetes and hypertension.
Person S is also hypertensive and he underwent a surgery. In the month of September, Person S's wife had chest discomfort and breathing problem and she was hospitalized.
She underwent a surgery and she was moved to rehabilitation facility. Later Person S was given a flu shot by a nurse practitioner.
In rehabilitation, Person S's wife got physical therapy and did quite well. She was discharged from rehabilitation. After two weeks, she got a stroke and she was admitted in the hospital. In rehabilitation, she suffered from another stroke was admitted to a long-term care facility. Person S was very adamant to continue his drive, as he had to visit his wife every day. He was also worried how long they could afford for the long-term care facility, which is nearby to their home.
