Introduction:
Neurotransmitters are organic molecules synthesized by a nerve cell; it is released when a nerve signal reaches the terminal of the axon or nerve fiber varicosity. The neurotransmitters have a specialized effect on receiving cell’s physiology. Neurotransmitters are released by exocytosis, which binds to specific receptors of the receiving cell.
