Alcohol use disorder has been seen resulting from a number of different sociocultural factors, such as culture, religion, and ethnicity. The different beliefs, which are taught to a person indirectly or directly about alcohol or substance use, by the culture and religion they are brought up in, are likely to determine their attitudes about them.
