Introduction:

Protists, fungi, plants, and animals are all members of the group known as eukaryotes. Protists are unicellular creatures like bacteria that lack nuclei and have their chromosomes packed into the cytoplasm. The plant species are included in the Plantae. Animal species are included in Animalia. Fungi are saprophytic, single-celled creatures that break down decaying soil organisms.
