Interpretation Introduction

Interpretation: The carbon-skeleton structure of the condensation polymer of ${\text{H}}_{\text{2}}\text{N}{\left({\text{CH}}_{\text{2}}\right)}_{\text{6}}\text{COOH}$ is to be drawn and this polymer with $\text{nylon-6}$ is to be compared.

Concept introduction: $\text{Nylon-6}$ is a polyamide polymer that having polyethylene segments in it and it is separated by amide groups that are present on the sides of the chain whereas in $\text{Nylon-7}$ there is a presence of one more carbon between the nitrogen atoms. The condensation of the $\text{Nylon-6}$ polymer produces $\text{Nylon-7}$.

To determine: The carbon-skeleton structure of the condensation polymer of ${\text{H}}_{\text{2}}\text{N}{\left({\text{CH}}_{\text{2}}\right)}_{\text{6}}\text{COOH}$ and compare it with $\text{nylon-6}$.
