To explain:
The difference between the levels of water-soluble and fat-soluble chemicals in the urine.
Introduction:
Chemical that are fat soluble pass through the lipid bilayer membrane. They pass through the urine. They are also absorbed in the intestine. The bile salts are secreted from the liver which initiate the absorption of fat soluble chemicals in the intestine. The excess consumption of these chemicals causes diarrhoea, vomiting and cramps in the body. The water soluble chemicals do not pass through the lipid bilayer membrane. Therefore, they are excreted in the urine in less amounts. They are present in the food which are eaten by a person like green leafy vegetables, egg, lemon and fruits.
