Independent risks are those risks that are indirectly related to the performance of stocks. They cannot be controlled or diversified. Independent risk, also called systematic risk is not directly related to the performance of stock; however it is highly influencing and has high amount of reflection. Economic indicators like inflation, GDP, and poverty are not directly related to the performance of stock. Such risk cannot be diversified.
