Introduction:

The two types of neurotransmitters are released by the sympathetic and parasympathetic ganglionic fibers are acetylcholine and norepinephrine. The fibers that secrete acetylcholine as neurotransmitters are called cholinergic fibers. The fibers that secrete norepinephrine as neurotransmitters are called adrenergic fibers.
