Program Plan Intro

  To implement a modified version of “DataSetReader” class

Program plan:

• In the file “BadDataException.java”, create a class “BadDataException”,
  • Define default constructor.
  • Define parameterized constructor,
    • Call super class parameter.
• In the file “DataSetReader.java”, create a class “DataSetReader”,
  • Declare necessary array variable.
  • Define a method “readFile()” to read a data set.
  • Define a method “readData()” to read all data.
  • Define a method “readValue()” to read one data value.
• In the file “DataAnalyzer.java”, create a class “DataAnalyzer”,
  • Define the “main()” method,
    • Create “Scanner” object.
    • Create “DataSetReader” object.
    • Execute if not done,
      • Execute “try” statement,
        • Get the file name from the user.
        • Read the data from the file.
        • For each value in a file,
        • • Compute sum.
        • Print sum.
      • Catch and handle if “FileNotFoundException” occur.
      • Catch and handle if “BadDataEception” found.
      • Catch and handle if “IOException” found.
