Introduction:

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is a family of more than 100 viruses, and it includes viruses which cause warts and are transmitted by contact. Wart involves division of epithelial cells and development of dense cytoplasm caused by the viral infection in mucosal and cutaneous tissue. The incubation period of Human Papillomavirus is from one to eight months and it can cause vaginal, neck, and anal cancers.

HPV is a sexually transmitted virus. HPV is involved in causing cervical lesions associated with cancers. This virus causes papilloma or warts that include harmless growths of the epithelium of the skin on the hands, face, trunk, elbows, and genital areas.
