A bookstore clerk wants to set up a display of new books .There are three entrances into the store .
Calculation:
The given situation can be represented as :
If the three entrances represent three points on the circle, then the display of new books should be equidistant to all the three entrances to get maximum exposure.
Hence, the display of the new books should be at the centre of the circle formed by three entrances to get maximum exposure.
We can always form a circle with given three points.
Draw perpendicular bisectors to the two chords formed by joining the points.
Since the perpendicular bisector to a chord contains the center of the circle. So, the intersection of the two perpendicular bisectors of the two chords is the center of the circle.
Hence , the display should be at the center of the circle formed by the three entrances to get maximum exposure.
