Mechanoreceptors are the sensory receptors that sense the pressure, touch, and vibrations. Areas of the skin that contain mechanoreceptors in large quantities are much sensitive to the stimulus. This is because more nerves carry the information to the brain and makes the person feel the things in a better manner.
