The types of neurons based on structural characteristics.
Introduction:
Neurons consist of neural tissues along with neuroglia. The neuron is a basic functional unit of the nervous system. The human brain consist of about 100 billion neurons. A cell of neuron consists of cytoplasm, mitochondria, a Golgi body and lysosomes, and microtubules.
Neurons are the specialized cells of the nervous system that makes a complex network for the transmission of messages. It is a rapid and efficient network of the nervous system. A neuron involves a cell body, nerve fibers (dendrites and an axon) in its structure. Neurons can be divided into three major groups and all of them conduct impulses especially in one direction.
