Multiprogramming:
- Multiprogramming is the concept in which several processes or programs runs in a single Central Processing Unit(CPU).
- The other name of multiprogramming is “parallel
programming ” in which more processes runs at the same time in single CPU. - The multiple processes are scheduled by running the programs in CPU. Sometimes, the computer will be blocked for a specific time to permit the processing time for other programs.
- In the multiprogramming systems, the program appears to be run at the same time but generally, the CPU executes the parts of each program one by one and then submit the result on given time.
