Gender inequality in the workforce is still prevalent in society, despite the strides in women’s advancements in many other areas of social life. Two of the greatest workforce inequalities that still remain are gender segregation and the gender wage gap. Gender segregation is when a field, or position within a job field, is reserved for one gender over another. The gender wage gap is when women receive less pay compared to the pay a man receives for the same job.
