Answer to Problem 1LC

The study of the distribution of various types of organisms in a given region is known as biodiversity.

Explanation of Solution

The term biodiversity can be characterized comprehensively as different kinds of life on Earth. It normally measures the genetic variation, the species diversity and the ecosystem diversity. Biodiversity plays an important role in forming the establishment of the huge array of biological community benefits that fundamentally add to human prosperity. Biodiversity includes all sources of living organisms, such as terrestrial; inter alia, diversity within organisms, between organisms and of environments.

Biodiversity is also related to croplands, farms, urban parks. These terrestrial regions on Earth are also directly related to ecosystem and biodiversity as cultivated lands on your own account for almost 22% of Earth's surface.

Thus, biodiversity is the establishment of ecosystem services are closely related to human beings.
