Case summary:
Mrs.D is 48 years old. Four years ago, she underwent bilateral mastectomy and had lymph node condition during surgery. Recently, she has been diagnosed with metastasis to the bone. She has been taking one 5-mg tablet of oxycodone for every 6 hours. However, she is not sleeping well and complaining of increasing pain to the point that her quality of life has decreased considerably. During the terminal condition of illness, she desires to stay at home and has requested for adequate and safe pain control.
