Long delays in flights due to bad weather:

Sometimes due to bad weather conditions, scheduled flights can get delayed as heavy rain or snow or wind adheres to the airframe and/or wings, and it affects the aerodynamic characteristics of the airplane and adds weight to the airframe. It can also interfere with the operation of the engines.
