Interpretation: Plastic bags are bad as an environmentally responsible choice as compared to paper bags.
Concept Introduction: Recycling of municipal waste includes collection of waste, sorting, marketing and processing of waste to make raw stick for new products. There are several waste streams in municipal solid waste (MSW). The main three are as follows:
Household solid waste: This is also known as residential waste. This includes paper, plastic, metals, and food scraps etc.
Commercial solid waste: This comprises of waste generated from businesses, offices and stores etc. This includes paper, plastics, textiles and electronic devices.
Industrial solid waste: These are solid waste generated from plant offices. It mainly includes waste water, harmful gases and chemicals.
One of the harmful municipal wastes is plastic. The use of plastic increases due to increased rate of consumer packaging market.
