Introduction:
The larynx is commonly called the voice box. It is found between the floor of the tongue and the upper segment of the trachea. This is commonly illustrated as the vestibule opening into the trachea from the pharynx and serves 3 major functions, namely, it works as a pathway of air, protects against the aspiration of the liquids and solids, and produces speech.
