Chapter 1, Problem 2E.4RQ
Summary Introduction
To determine: The way in which one can determine whether a colony is a pure culture or not.
Introduction: Microbial populations are unable to segregate themselves by species rather continue living with a mixture of different cell types. However, it is possible to isolate these microbial populations into pure cultures. Pure cultures are comprised of only one type of organism. Hence, pure cultures allow us to study the morphological, cultural, and biochemical properties of the desired organism.
