Explanation of Solution

The use of electronics in the design of modern vehicles is a rapid ongoing process. It has enabled safer and more fuel-efficient vehicles. Electric and hybrid vehicles could not have been developed and produced without the use of extensive electronic features. Over the time, the growth of electronics has accelerated and this trend is expected to continue as the automotive industries develops and continue to further progress vast in the modern automotive world.

Electronics is the function through which much of safety, security, convenience, comfort and efficient functions are provided in the modern vehicle technology. It has also influenced the design and types of the vehicles which make the vehicle to get better gas mileage as well as being environment friendly too.

The modern existing features like automatic emergency brakes, auto locking, and lightning makes the interiors of the vehicle more appealing as well as comfortable for the user. Without the electronics it could not be possible to meet the ultimate need of the vehicle.

10−9. The state of strain at the point has components of   ϵx = −100(10−6),   ϵy = −200(10−6), and γxy=100(10−6). Use the strain transformation equations to determine (a) the in-plane principal strains and (b) the maximum in-plane shear strain and average normal strain. In each case specify the orientation of the element and show how the strains deform the element within the x−y plane.
