Explanation of Solution

Activity means the task execution by a person according to his capacity. Participation means involvement in a situation of life. The normal participation and activity roles for a 2-and-a-half-year-old child are discussed below:

The mobility includes movement of body parts and locomotion of the individual from one place to another. The child should be able to show mobility by throwing a ball, kicking a ball, carrying toys while walking as well as by running, climbing stairs, jumping, and grasping objects.

The communication includes verbal speech interactions between the individuals. The child should be able to communicate verbally to his parents and other children using short phrases. The child must imitate the grownups in various chores like cleaning, dusting and sweeping.

The learning ability and applying knowledge to perform a task is one of the major characteristics of a developing child.
