Informal writing is often understood as casual writing which uses colloquial language. These writings are known as grapevine. This is used usually when you are conversing with family members, friends and closely related individuals. These happen usually in daily texting, Facebook updates, blog entries, emails and other types of day to day casual texting.

However, writing in business is different to this informal structure. Business writing is more formalized with a given structure. Formal writing is where the message is clear, properly framed and well organized. They might include few real writing in some business writings such as daily organizational meetings for events, trips and etc. however 90% of the information and writings are formalized with a structure on to whom the message is being directed and the way the message body is being drafted.
