Explanation of Solution

Cultural differences and ethics:

The organizational culture in which one works–be it in a community clinic, managed care organization, hospital or educational institution–plays a significant role in determining how an intervention will play out.

If the job requires working in other culture, we need to follow the guidelines of other culture regarding the rules, regulations and what is accepted.

We need to understand the cultural differences and respect other cultures. While pragmatic or contextual considerations in a foreign environment may justify some digression from what is considered morally acceptable practice at home, it does not automatically justify participation in foreign cultural practices without serious “examination of conscience” and at least some assessment of long term effects.

“Yes”, it depends on whether human rights are concerned with dress code. We need to follow the guidelines so that the interest of native people is not hurt. Regarding dress code, it is our ethical right to choose according to our culture.

When doing business with foreign culture, we should follow ethical guidelines of native culture while considering and respecting the foreign culture. The ethics include respecting consumer laws, intellectual property and to abide by laws.

The following unethical nature should be avoided:

  • Illegal campaign contributions
  • Bribery
  • Selling defective goods
  • Hiding information
