Expert Solution
Introduction

Non-disjunction

It is a genetic disorder that occurs during cell division, specifically during meiosis. In normal meiotic division, chromosomes separate and are distributed equally to the daughter cells. However, in the case of non-disjunction, the chromosomes fail to separate properly. This results in uneven distribution of chromosomes to the daughter cells. This results in cells with too many or too few chromosomes.
