Explain the industrial revolution.
The Industrial Revolution began in the late 18th century and brought great developments in European and American societies. It was the time when machines substituted hand labor and brought with them new scopes for employments
The following points explain the characteristics of the Industrial Revolution:
- The introduction of new machines put a stopper to the manual production of goods. This discovery helped in achieving mass production in lesser time, and the process was cost-effective too.
- Steam power, first introduced in Britain and then spread across the world, made transportation easy as it was used extensively in the railway.
- The innovation of power loom made the process of weaving and spinning yarn and thread much more effortless.
- Mass production improved society's financial structure and mechanized the labor class by making them work long hours at low wages.
