Very Difficult Class Example: Can you explain my solution professor's solution?

X and Y have joint PDF

f_X,Y(x,y) = 2, x>=0 , y>=0, x + y <=1 and 0 o/w.

What is the CDF and PDF for  V = max(X,Y)? CDF and PDF for W=min(X,Y)?

My professor said that for the first one the CDF is the integral from 0 to v and the integral from 0 to 1-y 2dx dy. But I don't understand him, where did he get these limits. Can someone draw a picture? How do I find out the limits for the min(X,Y) case?
